Ah, but which one?

  1. Nobody said it had to be a straight line. Your photo is wonderful, revealing the interesting form of the Contorted Hazelnut (?) set against the leaves which are beginning to fade, signalling the end of the season.

  2. Good eye! Yes, Corylus avellana contorta, aka 'Harry Lauder's Walking Stick.' And exactly; I love how these crazy branches reveal themselves as the foliage drops away; this is a plant I actually prefer in winter! Thanks for visiting!

  5. Is this a riddle? I've seen some interesting "end of the line" shots today, but this is the only one that appears to lead to infinity -I suppose that is an end too. Nice!
