Laura has had a lifelong love affair with plants and gardens and all the creatures in them. She lives and gardens in Campbell, CA (zone 9).

She has a degree in Art History from
UC Santa Barbara, and studied Graphic Design at UC Santa Cruz. She is also an alumni of the Horticulture and Design Program at Foothill College.

Laura worked in high-tech marketing communications for years, until she had a midlife awakening. She started Schaubdesigns Fine Gardens in 2001, and has never looked back.

Her gardens have won awards every year since 2004, including her gold- medal display garden for the 2005
San Francisco Flower & Garden Show. (She now works as the Social Media Manager for the Show, March 21-25, 2012).

Laura was featured on four episodes
of the HGTV backyard transformation show Landscape Smart, and was a guest artist on Curb Appeal.

Laura is a past president of the largest Association of Professional Landscape Designers district in the country.

She is also a member of the California Landscape Contractors Association and the Garden Writers Association.
